Day 424: More car troubles!

Uh oh...the car doesn't start now.  We can get it started but only if we push it.  Thank goodness it's manual transmission, otherwise it wouldn't work.  Ted went to A.T.U. to get a new battery - another 100 Euro! It's a great car but it is getting old and we are putting a lot of money into it.  Right now, there's no other alternative. The battery was installed and it still doesn't work.   He thinks it's the starter.  We'll have to take it in on Monday but darn it, it's another German holiday so it won't be until Tuesday and Ted has to work on Monday.  He'll be taking the train in on Monday.

It will work if we push it.  So push it we did...and then we went to the base to do some shopping.  It was awful having to push the darn car.  I didn't want to go but Ted was insistent.  And he would not listen to me, as usual. 

It over heated in  the parking lot of the commissary...thankfully the bagger helped him push it and got it going.  We are parking it in the street until we can  get it to Mauro, the Italian, on Tuesday.   And today was a nice day.  It would have been nice to have been able to go for a drive.  Oh well.
