Day 400: Dinner with a co-worker

Another glorious day.  Again the windows are wide open today and more laundry is on the rack on the balcony.

Ted called and said he was going to have a beer with Michael, his co-worker, tongiht after work. He then called me at 5 to say the plan changed and that we would be going to dinner with Michael and his wife Rebecca. They are such a nice young couple and we enjoy them immensely. We went to the Schwanenbrau in Bernhausen.

 We drove but Michael and his wife live in another part of Stuttgart so they took the train to Bernhausen. We got there first and secured a table. Most places have their outdoor eating areas open and the Schwanenbrau is no exception.

 We, however, chose to eat inside because outdoors everyone smokes and I disklike eating and having people blow smoke my way while I'm eating.  It's a filthy and disgusting habit not to mention an expensive one as well! I wonder how the Germans can afford to smoke as much as they do with how much everything costs here.

We had a lovely time with them and finished the evening off with gelato from a gelateria across the street from the restaurant.

We got home at 9:30 just in time to watch this week's episode of NCIS then it's off to bed for the both of us.
