We're driving to Paris to meet up with our best man and his wife. There always tons of things to do before a long weekend trip: cleaning, laundry and packing are the order of the day. It's cold again today and overcast. It feels more like late fall than late spring! I wish the weather would change...but somehow I think with the volcanic activity in Iceland that we are looking at a very cold summer.
We picked up the rental car and left for Paris at about 6:30pm. Julie took us the correct way this time and it only took us about five and half hours to get there. Finding the hotel was relatively easy and the hotel was fabulous. I would definitely recommend the Pullman hotel chain.
They are a bit pricey but well worth it in cities where the hotel rooms are usually broom closets. The only fly in the ointment was that the room keys did not work so we had to go back downstairs and get two more keys. It was not something we wanted to do after midnight. We just wanted to get to bed! Tomorrow is another day.
