I hadn't spoken to my Mom for awhile and was able to have a nice chat with her. It's nice to hear familiar voices speaking in English...even though there are a lot of people who speak English both off base and of course on base, it's nice to hear from someone who is family and who knows me.
What is terific is that it's only a long distance call for family and local for California friends and my boss! The VoIP is terrific!
Anyone who wants to call is welcome to do so. We're happy to hear from family and friends. It's our old California home phone number but keep in mind that depending where you are, we are 6 to 9 hours ahead of you!
