Ted was ever so much better today. His voice sounded good even though he was not 100%, he was a darn sight better than he had been these past two or three days.
My day consisted of reviewing finances and figuring out how much we can spend for a used car. We have to do something here in the next month or two and I don't want to wait until the last minute to find a car.
There's a military periodical called "Stars & Stripes" and it has classified ads in it for automobiles from service members who are either rotating back to the States or going to another duty. Some of the cars are high-end cars like Jags, Porsches and Mercedes. There are TONS of BMW's too which are high-end as well but a lot more of those than of the other cars. We would like to get an Outback but don't think that's something that is wise. It's a better idea to get an older BMW sedan, possibly a station wagon.
I'm hoping to put together our "Wish List" of features this evening. We REALLY need to go do laundry tonight. With Ted being sick this weekend, doing laundry was out of the question.
I know a few of the features we'd REALLY like to have is a sun-roof and heated seats. It probably sounds like we want a bit much but when it gets cold, heated seats are the "bomb"! And we've always wanted a sun-roof...so why not? I'd also like to get an automatic because it's easier to drive. I like stick but for long range driving, it's a real pain in the butt!
What's really cool is that Ted will have access to the base mechanic's shop so he can change the oil and do any regular maintenance that needs to be done. Plus he likes to do it, so it's a win-win situation all the way around.
